School Counselor, Children’s Book Author

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here! Join me for elementary school counseling resources and ideas, book news, and more!

A sample of my classroom counseling activities include: Stranger Danger, Peer Pressure, Time Management and Study Skills, Middle school transition activities, Coping Skills, Summer Safety, and more! Schoolwide programs and events planning guides: Breakfast events, winter assistance program, and more. Counselor office printables: Passes, school counselor planner, maternity leave planning guide, Group counseling planning sheets, and so many others! Classroom counseling activities: My students LOVE any kind of classroom scoot activity. Scoots get them up and moving around, engaging with 25-30 prompts scattered around the room. They can move at their own pace to respond to each card. My scoot activities include topics such as Stranger Danger, Response to Bullying, Career Interests, and Tattling. Escape Rooms are also an engaging way to incorporate cooperative learning into your lesson! My two favorites are winter and fall themed: Escape the Avalanche! Size of the Problem Escape Room and Escape the Pumpkin Patch: In and Out of My Control Escape Room. Resources related to positive behavior and incentives: Interest inventories, Student recognition spotlights, certificates, attendance incentives, and more! Student workbooks: Hoping & Coping Feelings Journal for School Closures and Distance Learning, Moving to a New School, Hygiene, and Loss of Pet Memory Journal.
